About TRON
TRON is a delegated proof-of-stake chain whose practical claim to fame is stablecoin transfer volume β a very large share of USDT moves over TRON because transfers are cheap and fast. Staking works differently here: you freeze TRX to obtain bandwidth and energy for transactions, and freezing also earns voting rewards. Block production rotates among a small elected validator set.
TRON transfers are effectively free if you have frozen enough TRX for energy; if you have not, the network burns TRX instead, which surprises first-time users.
TRX is less reflexive than most altcoins but is heavily tied to stablecoin flows and to news about its founder.

Frequently asked questions
οΌHow many TRX are there?
94.89 billion TRX were in circulation as of 31 July 2026, against a maximum of 94.89 billion β so 100.0% of everything that will ever exist has already been issued, leaving 0 still to come. At that point issuance is close to finished, so future supply growth is not a meaningful factor in the price.
οΌCan I stake TRX, and what does it pay?
Yes. Freeze TRX in your wallet and vote for a super representative; rewards depend on how much of its revenue that representative shares back. Rewards run at typically mid single digits depending on the representative, and the calculator on this page is prefilled with 4% so you can change it to whatever your validator or platform actually quotes. Unfreezing takes 14 days before the TRX becomes transferable again. Staking is native to the protocol here, so you are not relying on a third party's wrapper.
οΌWhich TRX calculator should I use?
There are 6 on this page and they answer different questions. Start from what you are actually asking: what a past purchase would be worth now, what a position is worth today, where a leveraged position gets liquidated, or what regular buying would have produced. Each opens with the live TRX price already filled in, and every calculation runs in your browser β nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is stored.
οΌWhere does the TRX price on this page come from?
Live from CoinGecko when you press the price button, with the TRXUSDT pair on Binance as a fallback if that request fails. The request happens in your browser and carries nothing about you; if both fail the calculator keeps working with whatever figure you type in.
