About Sui

Sui is a newer proof-of-stake layer-1 built around an object-centric data model that lets simple transfers bypass full consensus, giving very fast confirmation. Staking is delegated and settles on 24-hour epochs, with rewards compounding automatically. Supply is capped at 10 billion SUI, much of which unlocks on a multi-year vesting schedule β€” a real consideration for long-term holders.

Sui fees are low and paid in SUI, with a storage-fund mechanism that rebates part of the cost when you delete on-chain data.

As a younger asset with scheduled unlocks, SUI can face supply-driven pressure on top of ordinary market risk.

Frequently asked questions

οΌ‹How many SUI are there?

4.05 billion SUI were in circulation as of 31 July 2026, against a maximum of 10 billion β€” so 40.5% of everything that will ever exist has already been issued, leaving 5.95 billion still to come. That is a large share still to arrive, and it is worth knowing on what schedule before treating the current price as the settled one.

οΌ‹Can I stake SUI, and what does it pay?

Yes. Delegate SUI to a validator from a Sui wallet; rewards are added to your stake at each epoch change. Rewards run at typically low single digits, and the calculator on this page is prefilled with 2.5% so you can change it to whatever your validator or platform actually quotes. Stake and unstake both take effect at the next epoch boundary β€” roughly a day either way. Staking is native to the protocol here, so you are not relying on a third party's wrapper.

οΌ‹Which SUI calculator should I use?

There are 6 on this page and they answer different questions. Start from what you are actually asking: what a past purchase would be worth now, what a position is worth today, where a leveraged position gets liquidated, or what regular buying would have produced. Each opens with the live SUI price already filled in, and every calculation runs in your browser β€” nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is stored.

οΌ‹Where does the SUI price on this page come from?

Live from CoinGecko when you press the price button, with the SUIUSDT pair on Binance as a fallback if that request fails. The request happens in your browser and carries nothing about you; if both fail the calculator keeps working with whatever figure you type in.
