About Sei
Sei was built for order-book trading, with parallel execution and a consensus tuned to shorten the gap between submitting an order and having it final. Its second version added full EVM compatibility alongside the original Cosmos environment, so Solidity contracts and Cosmos modules run on the same chain and share state. That dual-runtime design is unusual, and it is the main reason to look at Sei rather than at any other fast layer 1.
Sei transactions cost a fraction of a cent and finalise in well under a second, which is the point of the design.
SEI is a high-beta layer 1 with a large uncirculated supply — check the unlock schedule before treating a rally as structural.
